Odyssey Sabertooth

Has anyone used one of these bad bwoys yet ? Look pretty nice, but I would rather I got some folk's views/opinions on it first before I splashed out some of my hard-earned cash.

Odyssey White Hot XG: White Hot XG Sabertooth

Am also liking the look of the Taylor Made Spider one, and it would go rather nicely in my near 100% current Taylor Made set up.

Any thoughts appreciated..

Not much hype surrounding the sabertooth, but the Spider has been getting love from every board on the interweb. Most say that the alignment aid is really nice, and that it is hard to not hit a good putt with it.

I just bought a spider Saturday and I got to play with it today. It is a great putter with really good feel. Anything inside of 10' I almost knew it was going in. There have been a couple of people say that they had trouble on lag putts with it but I didn't find it too bad, todays round I had no 3 putts and all second putts were within 3' or so but I spent about an hour this morning on the putting green getting used to it before we played. The alignment on the spider is awesome. The black sort legs or whatever that stick out I thought were really going to bother me when looking down but after a few puts with it I don't even really notice it now.

I've had some time with the Sabertooth. It's got a great feeling of balance to it, and it feels very soft when you strike a putt.

I took the sabertooth out on demo this week. It feels really well balanced and is great for a straight back and through stroke but the feel was very disappointing. The sound is very dull and there is no oomph behind the strike, it was very easy to hit on line but very difficult to judge the weight.

Thanks guys, you have really swung me towards the Taylor Made. Damn you for encouraging me to spend money !!
You have definately done enough to put me off the Odyssey. I did have The Fang, which is of course very similar to this, and it too had the XG face, which along with you guys found too soft and didn't have anywhere near enough "oomph" when hitting putts. Maybe nice when having slippery 5-footers, but doesn't give you the satisfaction that you've hit a solid putt

Am gonna definately look into getting this Spider now following those comments...

Yeah, he got it from a used bin for 19 bucks. Along with a used bettinardi.

From now on it must be known as the napa killer. LOL

It's new to me! I picked it up on Friday from Aladins Cave in Chester for £19.99. It's displaced the Napa after 18 holes on Friday, I gamed it yesterday and won the Spring medal!!! The Bettinardi feels great as well but the TP is just so easy to line up with.

5 New Toys!!!
