I was cleaning out my basement shop this past weekend and sorting through all the shafts I've accumulated the past couple years. I re-discovered the set of Dynalite Gold S300's I ho'd from Youngun5 this past year for $20... I thought to myself I really ought to do something with them. They still have the ribbed Maxfli Velvet Wrap grips on them and they are like new.

Well thanks to Lyle talking up the Acer 905 heads from Hireko, I took a look at them and decided I'd give them a go. Instead of the 905's, I opted for the 905 Pros since they have almost no offset. I already have a set of near SGI irons and the offset just bothers me. However, I do find a quality X-20 clone to be intriguing.

Anyway, the heads on on their way for a whopping $56 shipped (4-PW). Should be an interesting experiment, I already know I like the shafts as I play the same shaft in my P2's. I may end up with a nice set of easy to hit gamers for about $70 total. Or not.

And I thought my bag was set for the year and my hoing complete. Uh huh.

You will love these. BTW Hireko says they arent clones. Callaway also has the undercut channel patented and sues anyone using it without permission, yet Hireko has never been sued .

hey Lyle, is it possible to get the emblem thing out of the back of the Acer 905 heads?
I remember seeing pictures of some cleaned up CER851s a half dozen or so irons sets ago - was curious if these could be cleaned up the same way

MGP - I like the look of the pro version - they don't seem to have the funny grooves - please post a review when you hit them

Those were my exact thoughts too. I'll post pics and a review once I get them assembled and hit them.

Oh, and those Lynx BC Tour hybrids -- wow! I just love the looks of them and contact with the face on them is sweet. I got tired of waiting for the Maltby MFH hybrid heads to get in stock (they still aren't!) so I decided to build the BC Tours instead. I'm glad I did, hell of a nice hybrid head for about $22 and they felt comfortable from the first swing.
