Let me know. I doubt any of the above will get bagged. Not out of performance, but out of stupidity.

Can't. Those two heads are part of the Photo Giveaway.

Besides, they're in FW's so it's not the greatest sampling for driver's worth.

If it makes you feel any better, WBL hits the Solutions and he couldn't handle my Graf Blue, which was stout, but not insane in my eyes.

    Creation, dude.

  6. Dayum. I dunno what I was thinking. Should I actually try the Solution in the X, or should I just assume it's going to be a mess and get something stiffer-tipped right away? Creation is still a bit out of my price range.

    BTW.... Whatever I decide on is going into a 8.5* 460CC NP-1

Looks like a sweet set up. I'm worried about launching the 12* with the UL 440 too high.

The DCT is a low launching head. You'll be surprised with that 12* as it will play like a 10.5*.

Lyle said they play true to loft.

Or does playing true to loft not have anything to do with the launch? I've always wondered about this type of stuff.

I've heard they launch low. And that a "head will play lower than stated loft." Recommending you go up a degree from your usual loft.

Its only relative to your angle of attack. It only plays 'lower than stated' because the cog is higher than normal ie the head is a low spin head, but hit it with a neg aot and it still plays to stated loft.

Rock, how much for the 9 degree with the Icon?

  13. What's the collective terms for these Geeks?

    A pride of Geeks?
    A flock of Geeks?
    A ho' meister of Geeks?

Nice going R35. Steve must be sending your Christmas Cards by now.

I'm interested in the 3 wood, how does it compare to the TEE? I hit that thing miles but struggle to get it off the deck with any sort of height. Goes like shit off a stick low and running but I need / would like a bit more carry. I still have my Sonartec on stand-by but would entertain one of these bad boys with a decent shaft.
Doctors say that you should eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg a day to remain healthy. Last week I ate 5 mouldy plums and that night I shat the bed. What's healthy about that?:shocked::shocked:

True to loft means that the loft on the head is within way tighter tolerances than what major OEM's have stamped on their heads. Your 9.5* TM is more like 10.7*, while a 9* Geek is more like 8.9* or 9.2*. Wayyy tighter tolerances. When angle of attack is thrown in, that face angle has alot to do with it when it's actually a full degree higher than what you actually think it is.

See above. By low launching, I mean "true to loft" - literally.

This is true. If you currently bag a 9.5* and don't sky it, go up a full degree.

True, dave. The COG is lower, but the true loft phenomena still holds true.

I already have a buyer for the DCT/Icon setup.

I've had limited range time with them, but found them no different than the TEE in terms of playability. However, I still deem the TEE to be a tad longer and consistent. I have no trouble elevating anything, so perhaps I'm a poor judge.

I'll put this thing through it's paces in the coming weeks and maybe get it over to your side of the pond for a gander.
