New Toy

Yeah, my new toy arrived, and in time for my tee time if the rain holds out. I've read on here how great the Tee CB1's are, and how much easier a 4 wood is to hit off the deck than a 3 wood, so I combined the 2 and bought a CB1 Four wood. When I placed my bid I never expected to win, it was that low. But I won and it arrived via FedEx a moment ago in great shape, complete with the original zippered head cover and the Fugi High Launch stiff flex shaft. I'd rate it a 8-8.5 out of 10.

Like I said, if this rain holds off I'll give it a few whacks here in a bit and report back.

OMG!!!!!!!!, is this thing legal? It's stupid easy to hit, LONG off the tee, I mean LONG, like 225 yards with a 16.5º loft, and that was an easy swing! The worst shot I hit with it was a worm burner I topped it with and it traveled probably 175 yards from a $hitty lie. I had expected to end up swapping shafts but for now I see nothing wrong with what is in it. This thing is amazing!!!!! I'm serious though, is this thing legal?

Seriously, if you find one for a reasonable price, JUMP on it! It is worth a try.

It has a very metallic ping sound to it when you hit it, but I actually like it. Reminds me of my old Heavenwood Cally hybrid I used to have.

Sorry about that WBL, I was happy with the KE4 off the tee, but off the deck it was hit and miss. Most likely the Indian, not the arrow, but I wanted to try out a 4 wood, and a "Tee" at the same time. You know what they say, a Ho's work is never done,

I'm a big fan of the 4 wood - too easy and too long to ignore

Where you been?

Now that the CB1's are going cheap, they are probably one of the best value vs performance fairway woods available. I actually bought a CB1 4 wood on eBay earlier this year but then got an email saying that they did not have it stock and it was posted in error.

I ended up with the Wishon 949 MC 4-wood and have been pleased with its performance as I find it similar to the CB1. When the CB2's start falling in price, I may be tempted to go back to a TEE again.

You should, I was a skeptic as well. I bought a CB1 15* and put an NVS 85 in it and I hit moonballs. I thought I was hitting it to high until I walked down the first FW- a 443 yd par 5 (short tight course) and got to my ball and was sitting next to the 200yd marker. It was a wet day so most of that was carry. What more could you want from a 3w? Hell I am happy most days when I hit my driver that well.

I have a TEE CB1 15* in my stash.

Needed to go to a 4W to equalise some distances on the upper end of my bag and to keep me from trying stupid shots from the fairway with the TEE 3W. 250 yard carry? Yeah, no problem.

The CB2 4W would be the only one that could possibly kick out the Wishon.

Just stay away from the Purple Ice.

Try an NVS in it if you do decide to go back to the TEE. That shaft seems to work well for you in your current set up.

I know what you mean about thinking you were hitting it to high. The 1st couple of times I hit it I thought the same thing, till I got to my ball and saw how far I had hit it. For some reason I'm hitting beautiful draws with this thing too, something I don't normally do on a consistent basis.

The NVS in the CB1 is a great combo. Long and high, easy to control. Great alternative to the stock shaft, which is poor in my opinion. But, to each their own.
