Thursday was the day!!!

It arrived!!! With all due respect to the Scotty haters and with hopes of not starting another fight over how good/bad Scotty's are...My new shiny Studio Select Newport 2 arrived on Thursday. The minut I took it out of the box my daughter (18 months) yelled WOW!!! in about as excited a tone as you could get. The putter is everything I hoped it would be and here are a few pics. I also included one of my daughter- as you can see I am starting her off early showing her the proper equipment to carry and of course to learn the game from the green back-just kidding- kinda

You will have many enjoyable years, ahead, being Father to a beautiful daughter. You will see temper tantrums that make you want to pull out your hair. One daughter does not fit the personality, level of energy, scholastic achievements, or athletic achievements of another person's daughter. Some who play this game enjoy the physical characteristics and playablity of a Scotty. Others enjoy an Odyessy or Ping or Rife or Yes!!. (Your choice of a Scotty, does stand out above those "also ran" brands!)

Certainly, as a father of two grown daughters, no actual comparison can be made between the parent/daughter relationship and the golfer/putter bond. You will use a putter more than any other club in the bag. In a round where you strike the ball 80 to 90 times, over a third of those strikes will be with the putter. The putter is a club in your bag that you need to strike up an intimate, personal relationship with. That relationship can take strokes off the scorecard!

Well put, couldn't have done better myself. I tested all the brands before selling my Old Scotty and getting this one. It just felt right.

As for being a parent to my first child-never would have imagined it being so cool. Every day seems to get just a litte better!!!!

350g- actually thinking about keeping the grip it came with on it instead of switching to the ping blackout. We shall see.
