A Ho's Tale...... :-)

Being the Ho I am, I convinced myself (again) that the MP32's I had were a little to stiff for me and the reason for a few poor results. I got caught up in the AP2 hype and convinced myself they could be the answer (plus i wanted all Acushnet in the bag(sorry R35)) I demo'd them last week and hit them superb on the launch monitor...head to head with the Mizuno's i hit them a lot better.

I took the plunge and purchased them with Project X Rifle 5.5s (same as i hit on the LM) and got on my merry way. I played last week and had a bad driving day on a tight tree lined course, Meaning I didn't really get to use the AP2's much at all. Anyway I used them on saturday in a Comp and had my worse round in years!!! They just felt too head light for me and I didn't have any control with them at all.... I hit some massive hook!!! I put 3 strips of lead tape on them but still they didn't feel right

Not being one to over react I emmidiaitly dumped them on the bay for a $50 loss. I did however write that I'd PX some 695MBs a set I've always admired from a far. I get home from work today and they had sold. The fella who bought them had however sent me a PM before he pulled the trigger offering me his MB's in exchange. I rang him up and offered him a £250 refund for his 695's and he accepted. Now I'm a happy man I got the 695MBs with S300s and they stand me at £275 which I can cope with

I did have to get a set of irons for this week as I thought there would be a gap between selling the AP2's and picking up something else new. I was in Aladins Cave today so didn't pass up the chance of some Mizzy MP33s with S400 shafts for £99 quid Ho, Ho, Ho!!!!!!

Like a Wanker He spilt tea all over his Laptop, not a good mix. He's also started/starting a new job but I'm sure he'll be back soon.

Jeff;- Yes got MP33's easier to hit than i would have thought. little flatter trajectory to the MP32's. They have S400 lites in them, whats the difference between S300 and S400? anyone know?

EDIT;- also got the titleist 695MB's coming as well but if they don't perform I will bag the 33's, no more messing.

I had a lengthy session on the practice ground with them today and I can't believe that I've actually got the game to use a real Blade again. (Can't hit a 'players' Cavity for toffee though).

do you mean you've sold them just the bags, or the bags and all 14 clubs contained in each?

You should make up a timeline, showing each purchase and sale of a golf club for the last year.

The S300 and S400 are pretty much the same, as far as i heard just a couple of grams difference. But i have no clue as the the S400 Lite model.

The S400's have a lot more steps in the shaft and are a lot closer together. I've had a look and the S400's are mid launch where as S300's are low launch according to there website anyway.

LOL.....

.......You know you are a real ho when this happens. This morning I'm in bed when at 0730(ish) the door bell goes. I run down stairs and answer it and the postman is stood there with a box??? What the F**k's this then I'm thinking? Open the Box and it's the Titleist Tour model Oil Can Blades I bought a couple of weeks ago form the other side of the pond!!!

Well these aren't even in the picture anymore so I listed them on Ebay tonight and they sold within an hour for a small profit (deal out side of the bay). Here's the listing;- Mint Raw Titleist Tour Model Oil Can Blades 690, 695 mb on eBay, also, Golf Clubs, Golf, Sporting Goods (end time 03-Jul-08 22:36:08 BST)

Anyway with my Paypal account fully restored I was about to transfer to my Bank when I stumbled across a set of Cobra Pro MB's for £350 ($700) inc shipping, well before you could say save the money, my itchy trigger finger had double clicked from the buy it now button to the commit to buy button!!! Now I have 3 sets of irons so it'll be a good shoot out
