New Shaft

I'm so excited. I got a summer bonus from work, dividends from the company I guess, and I usually buy some new clubs or a cart, or something. But now that I've got 4 carts (anyone need one) and my dream bag built, there was nothing expensive to blow my cash on.

That is, until, I discovered the world of new shafts. I've always bought clubs, pulled the shafts and put in what I liked, epics and rombaxs. Then I heard at work about a guy who bout a new Ozik and loved it. So I did some research and ended up pulling the trigger on a Matrix Ozik TP-7 Strong. Ordered it from a golf place in Calgary, should be here in a couple days. Pics to follow.

I don't know if I should put it in the G10 or get a different head, just to have something a little more to show for my ho. Plus the G10s hit alot of balls, and it may be time to try a TM again.

We shall see, just thought I'd share my experience on my little purchase.

Quality.... Do you do the installing and pulling of the shafts yourself? I've just started building clubs for friends after about 6 months of messing with my own. I'm always on the search for a decent 2nd hand shaft to try. I got a Ping G10 last week for a lefty friend of mine. It came with the Ping Regular shaft so I ordered a Purple Ice 85 Stiff and put that in for him. I'm just waiting for the phone call telling me the head has come off He's built like a brick shit house & rips the ball (hits a Ping Eye2 #1 iron 275) so it'll be a good test of my workmanship.

What do you make of the Epic shaft? I've always fancied one of those but reviews have put me off pulling the trigger.

Clicgear by any chance? Orange would be the best.

Wasn't a huge fan of the TP7, preferred the TP7x. So far the F7M2 Low Tip Deflection has been even better for me. You will like the Ozik line of shafts though, great products.

Sweet. Put it in a tour Burner TP head, pull the Whitboard and sell it to me. That's some kind of bonus.

It's a place called simply golf. I visited the store once when I was on vacation. They are really good guys and back their products and always throw in free stuff like balls and hats, free shipping etc.
Then again, I drop a grand every time I visit.
