Picked up another Burner.

Snagged one in excellent condition off Global golf today, previous one was a 10.5º with a regular flex. This time I went with a 13º & regular flex as everything I have read & been told says to utilize a higher loft for slower swing speeds which I certainly have. I figure my Burner 3w is a 15º & I can hit that an easy 200+ yds, so why the hell am I only hitting driver 220-230? Maybe the loft is the key, I guess I will find out when it arrives.

Also ordered a Taylor Made Rossa Tourismo 3 AGSI+ putter just for the hell of it. $97 brand new including shipping, worse case is it doesn't roll nicely for me & I dump it off on fleabay for a little profit.

I tried that Tourismo putter at the store over the winter, and liked it a lot. Hope it works for you

I think you will really like that burner. Good luck with both the driver and the tourismo.

I liked my previous one & regret selling it, should work perfectly considering my slow assed swing speed. Big decision will be which club to dump, I am thinking the FT-3 since I haven't been playing it at all & when I have tried recently I just slice the shit out of it. Plus I could get more $$ for it rather than the Nickent hunk of crap.

I can always get a G10 later this year for a good price once you decide to unload it

I have tried probably 9-10 drivers & I keep coming back to the Burner, they just seem to suit me for some reason. The 13º is going to be interesting, can't wait to get out on the course & see how it performs. If it's the real deal I may have to persuade you to dump the 10º & try a 12º or 13º.

BTW, I can just picture my bag later this week out on the course with about 18 clubs in it, 3 drivers, 2 putters, etc. Will play 36 holes & utilize all 3 drivers equally as well as both putters & record the stats, the losers are headed to Ebay.

Give us a good review. I liked your Burner you had last year. That putter looks intriguing also.

Got both yesterday & have played the driver for 18 holes, the putter for 9. The 13º driver is dead nuts straight down the middle but I am losing a ton of distance due to really ballooning the ball. Not sure but I think the shaft may be a bit too light, it's a 50g Fujiwhatever & seems to flex quite a bit. I really like the club head, it just looks & feels so right but will experiment a bit more with different ball positions before I reshaft it.

The Tourisom putter is nice, a lot heavier than my TM Imola which is what I wanted since when I do tend to leave a lot of putts short & a heavier putter should help. Had 15 putts today, no 3 putts & had a couple that skimmed the lip but didn't drop. Will take me a little while to get comfortable with this putter since it is so different from my current one, but the quick 9 holes proved promising.
