Bushnell laser loss of sensitivety???

Bought a Pinseeker 1500 with slope last year. I could easily shoot pins 200 + yards out with no reflectors on them. Now I'm having trouble at 150 yards. New batteries no help. Anyone else have this problem. Same for large tree trunks etc.

Was not able to find a email trouble shooting site for bushnell so I figured I'd ask you guys before I spent a bunch of time on a phone tree.

Have you been keeping the optics clean and scratch free? Mine (Tour V2) came with a fancy little microfiber cloth and the instructions said to wipe all lenses after each use to ensure proper operation, even making note that dirty lenses could reduce the effective range of the device. Obviously I don't do that, but I do wipe them off every now and then, especially if it's really dry and dusty out.

Probably a dumb question, I'm sorry if it is - I just figured I'd ask.

The cloth will remove obvious dust etc. I wonder if there is a filmed residue which will not come off dry. Aqueous or oil based? A good optic cleaning solution. Any ideas?

I would imagine a bottle of glasses cleaner, available at Wally-World would do the job.

Good idea, worth a shot - eyeglass cleaner or Plexus (a glass/plastic cleaner and polish) could be worth trying. What kind of warranty do these things have anyway? They're supposed to be accurate to like 1000yds (ish), surely if you've taken care of yours and it's having trouble at 150 it's a flaw, not the norm.

My 1500 w/o slope was having the same difficulty. Since it was still under warranty and cost me $400, I sent that puppy right on back to Bushnell with a friendly note: "Please fix or replace". I let you know how that works out.

I know you don't want to sell it. zaphod likes rangefinders. I was giving him a shot since he suggested he could check your GPS accuracy with his rangefinder. That's why I brought up your GPS. You should really read more threads in here...

I had a problem with my Bushnell unit not powering on. It was out of warranty and they still sent me a brand new unit - no questions asked.
