Experimenting - CT250 meets By You

I had an old CT250 head kicking around. Managed to source a Aldila By You 70S shaft (a long and convoluted story) and got them stuck together. Went to the range yesterday and WOW, what a combo.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Maltby head. It suits my eye, is plenty forgiving, workable, etc. As for the Aldila shaft I always had my suspicions that it was a tad too stiff fro my 100mph swing speed. I tried it on a Geek head and didn't get on with it.

Well I was certainly getting on with this. A straight machine. It feels heavier that the Graman, and a bit stouter (less lively). And I started swinging at it a bit harder, the shaft is certainly up to it.

I guess the further into the season I get the stronger my swing gets. I could see my SS maybe creeping up to 102-103 mph. I am only guessing in the hands of a faster swing speed, this thing would just get better.

Anyway, thought I would share it with you all. I think my CT250 Professional / Graman will still hold the bag. Not sure if I will hold onto it or throw it in the classifieds. Anyone interested? This thing will not disappoint.

I have a CT250 w/ a 65S Proto. Has always been a contender. Got another head I might put a 70X in, as the KE4/80X combo has really come around.

I have a CT250 - VS Proto 65S combo that's excellent as well. It's hovering at the 2nd tier now as I do love the Integra Quadratic - SK Fiber TT80 combo as my gamer. I wouldn't hesitate to put either of my CT250's back into play at any time though.

I have another brand new VS Proto 65S sitting in the shop. Thinking seriously of shafting up another Quadratic with it.

(Like I need another driver... )
