The Perfect Putter

So I realized I probably posted my original thread in the wrong place. And so I am reposting it here.

I am looking for a putter with similar face shape to the Imola Classic by Taylormade but with a sight line that is perpendicular to the face in the same spot as the sight dot is on this putter. Does anyone have any suggestions that won't break the bank?

A picture of the Imola classic would help.

Yeah that might help... But I am under the post limit for including a URL, so I don't know how to add a picture for this post. But if you go to the Taylormade Website and click on Putters and then the Rossa Imola 8 you can see it.

Thanks

How about this one? Cleveland VP2 Milled. I'm not sure what "breaking the bank" is, but this one can be had for $150 new. They make a cheaper one that's not milled, but the hosel design is a bit different.

Check Cleveland's website for more info.

Another thought might be to take an Imola to a machine shop and have them mill a slot in the top. Paint it white and voila!

I hadn't thought of taking the Imola to the shop. Thanks.

Several in the Studio Design line from Scotty Cameron fit the mold nicely. You can get on on ebay for less than $150. I did.... although mine has a sightline parallell to the face, not perpendicular.

How does a slightline parallel to the face do any good?

T P Mills builds a lot of putters using that head shape.

I adore this sightline...... I feel as though I am aligning the entire FACE of the putter at my target, (and my line) rather than aligning one skinny little line along the target line. It is a more dramatic difference than I could have imagined. I'm very pleased so far.

I've only had it for a month, but am loving it. I'm feeling more accurate with this putter, and although I was a good lag putter before, this has made me better. Still on the honeymoon with her, admittedly.

I've always liked putters with NO sight line or dot at all. Cameron Napas, Wilson 8802, I had a bulls-eye heel shafted blade similar to these as well when i was younger... so this suits me. It's probably not for everyone, agreed on that.

Simple MS Paint Job. Take the photo, blow it up huge, paintbrush tool the size of about a pencil eraser (for the sightline or similar sized paintfill) and click away. Save, resize, and post.

I'm thinig of doing some more, preferably for people here on ST. Not that it's difficult to do for the average computer user, I just find it a good, relaxing way to spend about 5 minites... making something for someone else.

So, this is probably NOT the thread, but if you want a club of yours done with another paintfill to see how it looks, I'm your man.

Cheers,
Bryan

It helps to actually read the post, lol. I missed the word "if" in yours. I thought you had an Imola and paintfilled it.

But hey, if I need to know how my next putter ho would look painted up, I know who to call!
