Shaft Manufaturers should get with it...

I recently bought a $900 Matrix shaft, had it spine aligned and put in a driver, only to have the logo and graphics and writing all messed up. It looks like a really sloppy setup.

Why don't shaft manufacturers spend a little time, find the spine and print the logos accordingly?

I've often wondered that myself. I recall hearing some of the more talented clubmakers here say that with today's premium graphite shafts, finding the spine is a waste of time, because there isn't one. Steel shafts are different, as they definitely have a spine, and I agree it would be nice if they were spine-aligned at the factory.

Why don't you just keep buying them until you find one that lines up the way you want?

I read on Gramans web site that their logos are spine aligned. A couple others are doing it to, smaller upstart companies. I guess the big names will follow eventually.

For someone who takes golf so seriously (3&5 from K-Mart), that's pretty bold.

WoW, $900 for A shaft?? Was there a handjob involved, or maybe a free set of clubs with your purchase?

WHY. . .yeah, bs sounds like about right to me, lol.

Besides, if the Logo is that important, you should just stick to the nice stockies because they put those in straight every time. . .OMG

Seriously what the hell???? I looked it up and sure enough..... $1k shafts... that's freakin' INSANE! Does the shaft let you sit in the cart and go hit the ball for you???? I don't care how much $$ you make... how can you justify that... it CAN'T be THAT much better than the "cheap"($100-$200) shafts....

I'd bet that in the hands of the right player, a $900 shaft will be about $800 better than a $100 shaft.

Sorry, my mind is still a lil blown lol

I keep trying to put it into perspective, and all I can see is 600 yard tee shots... lmao

The Code line of Matrix shafts cost $300.00 new. I got mine used and love it. If these are $600.00 worth better they would have to be an amazing shaft. But I'm with you slick, I can't imagine a time where I could justify paying a grand for a shaft.

I think that the guy should be left alone, it is his money, he works for it, and he can do what he wants with it. There are plenty of people out there who think I am nuts for spending $400 to buy a set of irons this spring. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
