All you Scotty experts

Bought my starter Cameron today. It's a Red X2 center shafted mallet.

It's used and I got a good deal on it. I really like it, don't think there is any "feel" difference between this and my nike unitized but I like the center shaft set up a lot better.

Anywho my reason for the post is does Cameron make a pistol style putter grip? I looked on ebay and didn't come up with any.

Edit:
I found a red pistol grip but I'd actually prefer an orange one if there is such a grip out there.

Thanks

They do make several grips with the Cameron logo, but be prepared to pay for the privelidge. Checkout scottycameron.com and be prepared for sticker shock. For an orange grip, you will probably have to send it to the custom shop and have them do it which will cost even more.

If you have a local Golfsmith, they may have some of the standard grips in stock but not advertised in the grip section, you have to ask. GS is a lot cheaper than direct from Scotty. Scotty charges like $15-$21 depending on the grip for the same grip you can get that says Golf pride or Winn on it for $3-$7.

I'm guessing that the red grip you found is a red Baby-T. There are a few orange one's like that but they were used on a handful of tour putters. Don't count of finding one and if you do, be prepared to trade several pictures of dead presidents. You're in the $200 range.

You can get an orange Winn, but it's still going to be in the $50 range.

Thanks for all the responses.

I'll try the dancing cameron orange grips they sell on ebay first. If it doesn't work I'll just keep looking.

You want an Orange Studio Style Grip. It has a very similar profile and shape to the "Ping-Man" grips that are black and have been around forever.....

If you want it to feel a little bigger, you can wrap extra layers of tape under the grip. I put seven under by Red Baby T Grip.

Congrats on your Scotty!!! The Red X is a great mid-mallet. Keep us informed how you like it and how many strokes it takes off your game!!!

Welcome to the Scotty Club, you will now find that you will putt better, be smarter and dress better,

A true Vol fan would send the putter to the Cameron Studio and have all the paint fill redone in Vol orange along with the orange grip you're having installed.

J/K, congrats on the pick up, I would say I hope it works out for you, but hey, it's a Scotty, so it will work for you.

And they require a certain number of posts before you can sell, not sure about buying. I've found prices there are consistent with ebay prices. Orange Studio Grips are harder to come by than the Red ones. Black are most common.....
