New Orlimar ZX Fairway Woods

Yes, this is my first post

I went up to the King Par Golf store this evening to try out some clubs. Basically, I wanted to see what I liked, then I'd look at the price. The guy asked me a couple simple questions, and handed me a 3-wood. I took a couple of whacks at my free bucket of balls, and pulled the first three obnoxiously to the left. Then I calmed down and brushed one off the carpet nice and easy. Wow, that was kind of anti-climactic. He handed me the perfect club, first thing. It was the Orlimar ZX 3w. The offset made such a huge difference in my shots; I am sold.

I guess for good measure, the dude brought out a Callaway, a Nike, and a Ping. I sure like the look of the new Pings, but all three introduced a side-spin on the ball that sent it tailing off to the right, in my usual fashion. Actually, I liked the Callaway the least. Which is strange because they seem to have a nice-sized following on this site.

So I leave the store empty-handed, hoping to find better prices online... no dice. These are a 2008 model, evidently. I can't find any better price than at the store.

So here's my question. Since I like these clubs with the offset, are there any similar clubs, perhaps from recent past years with this offset? I notice Cobra has some offset clubs around cyberspace. Anyone familiar with them?

Anywho... I've been lurking around this site for about a year now; basically, I've just been raping as much information as possible. About two weeks ago, my best friend hit a hole-in-one at the local course, and it renewed my willingness to participate in the game.

I can't help you on the club suggestions, I've never played offset clubs, but I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions soon enough.

Why don't you just go to Wal-Mart? They have the cheapest prices around.

I've recently come to that realization. I think perhaps I'll try some of those clubs today.

Now, I just need the money to purchase them. Anyone need a kidney?
