Bridgestone J36 cavity backs

Anyone hitting these and willing to share some feedback. I love my J33s, but am considering the J36s. Include comments about shaft choices if you would like.

They're not that different than the J33's, there is some trailing edge relief on the J36's that allow the club to come out of the turf a little smoother from thicker lies. They come stock with the Project X Flighted shafts this season. I am waiting for a 2 iron in the CB set since they don't offer the blade in a 2 iron (can't figure that one out).

Thanks for the update. I really like the clean lines and how the J33 allow easy flighting options. The top line is great with these clubs.

I play the S300s in mine just because I'm used to this shaft. The Project Xs seemed a little dead but that could just be me. I did not hit the Xs for more than about a week, so I really don't know their virtues.

I'm shopping for new irons, and the J36 are on my shortlist. I just got back from hitting a bunch of clubs at the little store here, and now have a demo J36 blade to hit this afternoon. I hit the J36 CB, and blade, and liked them both. Not much difference, to me. They were both straighter and smoother than the Ping S58s, Titleist AP2, and Cleveland Tours I tried. Several Mizunos ( MP57 & MP37 ) were similar.

I hit the J36s with both 6.0 and 6.5 shafts, and was surprised that the 6.5 went a little further, with otherwise similar results. My SS was ~83 mph, which is more in the 5.5-6 range, as I understand it.
