taylormade r7 draw vs adams a3 irons

Hello
Can somebody help me decide which to purchase? I've only gone to the driving range to hit with a driver for distance and for fun. I've done it for years, but still new to golf and using irons. I tried the r7 draws and liked them. But what is draw? one salesperson told me its not good for beginners and one said whatever feels good to me. I want a set to last a long time, I dont really want to upgrade and spend more money. And I dont want a complete set cause I enjoy hitting with the driver and want to choose my own later. How about the adams a3? Are these good irons? I want to spend about $400-600 and have hybrids.. Also the screen at the store said i was hitting 80-90mph(accurate?) with a 7 iron. cause i read how ladies flex are for 60mph or less. but when i used mens a3, the ball didnt travel further or anything. Thanks for any help.

Not sure what sorta salesman you were dealing with, but the R7 draw would be a fine beginners club. They are a cavity back iron & would be rated as a Game improvement iron. The draw portion is for folks who have a slice, these clubs have more weight in the hell portion of the club which in theory should help the club face rotate faster & help lessen the amount of slice.

Could also work well for someone who hits the ball straight but wants a small amount of draw.

I have a set of 5-pw R7 draw irons I'm looking to move. The price would be low enough that you could get two hybrids to fill in for the 3 and 4. They are used but it would be tough to tell. They have orange and black multi compound grips and some probably need to be changed but I could do that for you if you were interested.

if you can hit both at a range, not a simulator, fick which one feels best, looks best at address, you hit straighter, and possibly, if all others are equal, which one goes further.

I cant speak for AdamsBut I really like my R7 draws. I bought them last year and had good success with them. I am very confident when I address the ball with my irons now. And this year I have hit them even better. Ive started drawing the ball a bit, but at the same time if I need to cut fade the ball I have no trouble doing it. I really like the R7's, but they are like anything else. Its whatever feels best to you. Good luck on your search for new clubs.
