How unforgiving...

For those of you out there that play TM drivers, how unforgiving is the R7 425 TP. I have been kicking around the idea of picking one up for awhile but haven't. Now that I got the ho bug and sold my R5 TP I think the time is now for the 425TP. My question is just how unforgiving is it? Is it brutal or no worse than any other driver?

I always felt mine was very forgiving. Ive since bought a SuperQuad TP and love it aswell. Im a bid inconsistant with it but thats me not the club. I need to get back to my club pro and take another lesson. LOL

Nah, if you hit the R5TP fine, this one will be similar. It's probably going to have less spin and is a little smaller head with a shallower face. I don't care for deep faced heads so the R5 was not my favorite. I had a 425TP with the 65g Reax but didn't like the shaft at all. I'd be much more suited to the 75g Reax. Actually, I think the shaft was a 62g ReaX if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, it was really whippy and loose feeling. Tough to compare now though as I don't have the same swing. I was slinging dtl before and now rotate hard left with face open to swingpath. Basically have gone from a very handsy release to the total opposite.

I'd say get one with a decent shaft. If it has to be the ReaX, I'd go 75 if you liked the BB. If you find you don't care for the shaft, pull it and the 75g is worth the most. Then just slap a TP BB pull in there since you know you like it. I personally think the 425 is easier to control, square up and hit dead center than the R5TP.

BTW- SuperquadTP would not be a bad choice either... or as I've said before, the 07 BurnerTP. I always thought the BurnerTP was pretty much an R5TP with a little less spin and a little longer.

No worse than any other driver. I will say I find it more forgiving than the FT-3 Tour which was brutal unless you were dead nuts on.
I carry 2 drivers just in case my swing is a bit off & I start spraying the 425, then I switch to the Burner which a blind person could swing & hit straight shots all day long.
