    Recent ho's

So, I will pass along my recent hoeing. First, got a Grafalloy Epic shaft at a great deal, had it SST pured and pulled the stock Titty vodoo out of my 909. Tipped the Epic about 3/4 of an inch, and finished club to a playing length of 44.5 inches. Backweighted the club, what a rocket. Had some concerns about the epic, but they have so far proven to be baseless. Shaft is very good, dispersion is much better, and even my misses are still playable. Second was a Hogan #5 ti hybrid. Has the stock hogan factory steel shaft in it, this is another super solid club. Fills in a little bit og a gap I had between my #4 Cally and the 6 iron. I really like this hybrid. Stupid easy to hit, and is one of the more workable hybrids for me. Can hit it high, low, cut or draw, just a solid club, and got it cheap, NIB. Third and final was yesterday. Have had my eye on the new Cleveland putters. After the way my old putter was acting over the weekend, it was a prime time to acquire one of them. Walked in the our pro shop, anounced my intent to our pro, and walked out with the #3 blade classic putter. For the $$, what a putter. This thing just blows me away. To me, fell is close, and maybe even a bit better , then the Scotty's they had in the shop. So, I think I am done for a while, although the dirt cheap I-mix Cally heads are killing me, may have to pick up and FT5 and FT-I to play around with, and still need to build a beast driver. Oh well, I am a ho.

Good luck with it. I tried the Epic but had a serious install issue. The tip cracked and collapsed and the head flew off. Those things are not for the novice clubmaker.

I would hope your putter feels better than a SC. Every SC I have tried feels clicky and harsh, except the circa 62's. The ProPlat finish especially, feels like garbage. I know everybody loves the feel of such putters, so maybe I'm doing it wrong. :(
    what is golf?

I just took some 220 grit paper and roughed up the finish just a little bit(did not go all the way to the matal, just roughed up the clear finish some). Seems to be holding up pretty well. I have swung it as hard as I can, one of the HS kids at our club with a moster swing has hit it a bunch(SS of probably 120'sh or so, real tall, lanky kid with a awesome swing) and a buddy that I play with that kills it hit it as well. I am thinking maybe a few hundred swings or so on it, and no failure yet. Like I said, I tipped it about 3/4, and was easy on the sanding, so it appears it will hold up, plus I filled the bottom of the shaft with epoxy before I installed it, to try to reinforce the tip some. We'll see, I am loving this shaft so far. Putter is money. Did get to feeling good enough to go put some with it, just about as close to automatic as aputter can be in my hands. I know slick, still no pics, but I need to work some today, and still do not feel all that great.
