question for the driver hos - best way to package a 460cc driver

Typically I buy - this time I'm trading.
I'm having a hell of a time stuffing a 46" long 460cc driver into ANY of the golf boxes I have. any advice on packaging?

It seems too long and too wide for all the boxes

Sorry guys, false alarm - I found a box. The good folks at TWGT use larger boxes. I initially went through boxes from Golfworks, golfsmith, Indacup, Victory, myOstrich, myclubmaker, hireko, and a bunch of others. good thing I've been collecting these things

    Rick,

When you pack a driver, make sure to double up the support in the center of the box where the shaft lies. It's not gonna stop a forklift, but it will stiffen the box plenty for conveyor belt rides.

    Just a tip.

Not that I've packed up any drivers or anything....

Sometimes, I build my own boxes out of old boxes. They are extremely sturdy.

Don't have to. Just helps protect the shaft and stiffen the box some. Or, take your chances, up to you.

And use plenty of newspaper, cram the box full of it. It won't add that much weight and can help protect everything.

PVC pipe around the shaft makes the thing virtually invincible.

I use PVC also. For the extra buck or two it is worth the peace of mind.
