What works for me may not work for you. It is best to get with someone in your area that will help you find a shaft that will work for you.

I like tha accra line but that doesn't mean you will like them.

What do you hate about it now? Ballflight? Spin? Weight? Feel?

There are somewhere around 347 million shafts out there that are good for what they are designed for. What's good for me is not necessarily good for you.

The best thing would be to hit lots of different shafts in the same clubhead. A more likely situation is to ask people with similar swings/ballflights to you what they like. More info on your swing and what you want from your shaft is required before any conclusions can be drawn.

I recommend a steel shaft such as the True Temper TX-90 at a slightly shorter than normal length just because it usually leads to straighter shots, but you really never know until you try

Im not Tiger by no means but I recently bought a new driver with a longer shaft and I hit better shots all around, Im sure it wasnt just the shaft though. but it might be worth trying

I have the 983E 9.5* with a Prolaunch 65S.I love the combination, but many others hate the Prolaunch with the bigger headed drivers in particular, but on this club I love it.As others have said, you have to test yourself. If you can't do that,a standard Graff Blue of NV 65 should be fine. But bear in mind its very imporatnt to find the right conbination of spin rate and launch angle with a driver, get it wrong and the ball can do strange things. The 983E is a diffiuclt club to use at the best of times, with the wrong shaft it will be worse. The main reason I dont like it is feel....It seems like every swing I take feels akward, like the club isnt moving fast enough???now any suggestions? that could be the stiffness. What handicap are you? I wouldn't recommend this driver for a high handicapper
