Thread: Bought new clubs and want opinions...

  1. Bought new clubs and want opinions...

I just fairly recently bought a used set of Nike CPR irons (3i-9i) and wanted to get some opinions on those clubs. I just started playing golf like a year or two ago (not everyday by no means) so i am still fairly new. I was wondering if anyone has used them or heard anything about them and if they are a good set for me to get my game "stable" with.
    Any input will be appreciated...

    Thanks

You bought them- so it's a bit late for opinions, isn't it?

Decent golf can be played with most ANY clubs, really. As long as your set is fairly forgiving on mishits they're fine for a beginner. You may want to have the lengths changed a bit to suit your height or flexibility as well. But beyond that, there's not a WHOLE lot having a different/newer set will do for you as a beginner.

Well i guess maybe i should have made it clear that when i say i bought them i got them for like 20 dollars from a family friend which was clearly a good deal from the looks of the clubs. I just didnt know what kinda of reputation they have like problems, or good things about them etc...

Looking around the internet they appear to be good irons for someone starting out or the mid-high handicap player. As long as the irons are in good shape and playable then I'd say you got a great deal.

Depending how old they are and what shape the grips are in you may want to treat yourself to having them re-gripped. They'll be just like new then. I figure for every used club I buy I'll have to re-grip them and figure that into the total cost.
