Thread: Any secrets for removing a putter shaft?

  1. Any secrets for removing a putter shaft?

The shaft in my TM Tourismo has become loose, I can't rotate it or pull it out but it's definitely loose & wiggles just a tad. Any secrets to getting it out cleanly & reinstalling it? What sort of epoxy should be used & where's the best place to pick some up? Have never pulled one out & don't want to mess up my club.

Heat it up a little and you should be able to twist it off. I use Golfworks beaded epoxy, but have actually seen people use super glue on putters.

It is possible that it has a plastic insert installed in the bottom of the shaft that holds it in. Its sort of a tension fit. I would guess this is the case because it is just loose. Get on your slippers, step on it, twist and pull. Or, use a shaft puller after taping off the head.
