well I'm on the hunt for a new set of irons tried a lot of styles still not sure what I'll go with. going tomorrow to swing all i can. i liked the AP1's but the top line was a little thick. they did feel good but they are sold and I'm on to something different. so i ask if any of you have some suggestions of irons i should try. just trying to see what i might not think of. thanks

If I were to buy irons today I would go with the Cobra Pro CB.

Get the Adams Pro MB's.

If I were to go out today and buy a set of those, I'd have them, with the black nickled KBS tour shafts. Hot, hot, hot. And man are they soft feeling.

That said.. the Cobra's are sweet as butter, but I thought the top line was a hair thicker than I really cared for. The Titleist ZB or whatever they are, are nice for a forged iron.

Titleist ZB are a good choice, or look for Mizuno, they have some very nice top lines (I hate thick top lines as well, its the #1 reasson for buying new irons).

You may have a hard time finding some to hit, but look for Srixon's. I play the older i-506's and love them, good looking and awesome feel. The new i-701's are sweet looking too.

No one ever tries the S59, S58, S57 Ping irons. They have narrow soles, little offset and a thin top line yet are very forgiving. And if you hit them right they really produce. :)

i tried the s59's they were nice but i liked the ones i got better and if the honey moon ends with the BB sell me the shaft please.
