Cobra drivers should be banned

They hurt my ears.they should be sold with ear muffs for use at the range and owners should be made to practice in a corner on their own

I don't know specifically about Cobras, but my Hogan C-S3 has a rather annoying "tink" sound. Since I can't hit it worth a damn anyway, I might just start leaving it at home.

I really miss the CRACK sound of a well-struck solid head driver, but the last time I heard it was at the 1977 Masters. Certainly, my drivers NEVER sounded like that.

I must not be swingin mine hard enough because the sound doesn't bother me a bit. I don't mind how forgiving and long it is either but that's just me.

Have you heard the sound when hitting the new callaway FT driver ?? It's like nothing I have ever experienced before. Amazing.
true, the Cobras are annoying, to say the least. My Cleveland Launcher is just 'normal' sounding, me thinks...

The hogan is very annoying but I hit it longer and straighter than anything else so I put up with it.

Yeah, you often see folk hitting them and it *sounds* like they've nailed them, yet you quickly see their ball roll into the right rough 190 yards away. Unreal.

I've often heard that people compare the sound of the Launcher 460s to hitting a garbage can with a baseball bat. I find mine's really loud when you snag one just right.

I played with a guy hitting an ERC Fusion once...I swear, it sounded like the driver farted every time he hit it. So annoying.

I can't hear impact as my driver head is exceeding the speed of light by that point.

Usually I hear the sound just after the ball has landed......6 feet off the teebox...

There should be sound pollution regs, just like they have for car exhausts.

Then move

I love the fact that people leave the side of the range I'm on when I start hitting my driver. It makes the driving range a more peaceful experience...(except when I hit a ball with my Cobra 454 that is)

Of course I personally find Callaway Irons eye sores and are the worst example of visual pollution.

I agree, its always a difficult decision, who to castrate first, the Cobra driver user or Callaway iron owner.Ones deaf and ones blind so maybe I should be grateful I myself have all my faculties intact.
