Shot in the dark...

So I came across a listing the other night for a Diamana Redboard 63g in X flex. I added it to my watch list in ebay and forgot about it. tonight when I logged in there was about an hr to go with no bids, opening bid was $.50. Shaft was stated to be in good shape except for a break in the tip and was measured 41.25" from grip to where the break is. Anyway with 5min to go there we still no bids. The seller has great feedback and wasn't trying to hide anything I don't think, so what did I do? I bid on it and won it for $.50 or $10.50 shipped. This could go down as a great deal for me or a stupid stupid purchase....we shall see.

Well, I was thinking of sticking it into my Adams XTD pro driver, should play around 44" in that ( I think anyway, just guestimating as I have not pulled the current shaft from the Adams yet).

Could work out to be a nice score... hell, really nice score. The will play pretty damn strong though once you essentially "tip" it to clear the break.

There's a ton of strong hitters over on golfwrx so I'm sure if it doesn't work out that you'll at least have a market a tipped x-flex.

I almost bid on that but pulled at the last second as I have found my fwy shaft and it doesn't quite meet my 44" requirement for the driver.

Yeah, I've heard that the redboard launches a little higher so the tipped x flex may be a bit much for me, although we will see.

I'm not a member of WRX and never go there, I tried to join a couple of times and for one reason or another their system kept kicking me out, haven't tried since.

I figure at worst I'm out 10.50....

Yeah I'm thinking that worse case scenario I'm out $10.50. If it works and I can tip it to play and it turns out to be to much for me I can sell it on ebay and make a few bucks or keep it in that adams head and sell the whole package at a profit....we shall see, I don't want to get my hopes to high...
