Beginner's set.....

Looking for a cheap set of clubs. I've been golfing with a very old set for 9 months now. Is this set any good for a beginner?

You'd be better off going with a used set from more of a name brand.
Wilson do some good stuff for beginners, there's also some good older stuff from Tommy Armour (845s), Adams (tight lies irons and woods), Top Flite (most of the version of TF tours, XL2000), there are many.
A good, used set from a mid-range brand will serve you much better, and for longer than the set you linked to.

Oh, I forgot to mention, they will probably not be going quite as cheap as that set, but certainly will not break the bank. Most of those iron sets go for less than US$100 (something like 65 quid).

Sure enough, that'd be a cheap set. In general, "Super Metal Titanium Matrix" is pretty much an unknown material for metal woods. I'd also tend to look for words like "Stainless Steel" or "Carbon Steel" for irons.

I agree about the Wilson Brand

Wilson makes some very nice beginner sets, and you can shop around and find them for decent prices. They are not TM or Nike or the big C, but they are good value.
