These rumors have been around for ages and seem to be little more than wishful thinking. There is certainly no shortage of BSG haters but I haven't heard anything new lately. What are you hearing?

I'm hearing it was "white powder" related.

I'm not sure what exactly they are, but if I remember correctly I think they had a bunch of REAL EXPENSIVE clubs on ebay. High end stuff, tour issue with very high end shafts (diamana, Matrix etc). I have seen a few things from them but never bought. Every driver I ever saw listed from them started at around $350, which is about $200 more than I am willing to pay for a driver-regardless of shaft.

They were a site that catered to the idiot that had more money than brains. They had a niche market of "Tour" clubs that they offered at ridiculous prices.

That being said, they have had a history of being self promoting and catering to a certain group of people, so much so that several websites have broken away from them and started up as a result of them being maroons.

I only used their Classifieds to buy stuff they paid 5 times as much for 3 weeks prior.

I hope it's true Rock, those guys are *******s of the highest degree. They banned me for 40 years after I questioned their experience with clubmaking. A bunch of scam artists, selling snake oil. Good riddance!!! Toad can go back to selling baseball cards for all I care, lol:laugh:

The crazy thing with that whole scheme was that for every you and I, there were 5 guys each lining up to buy the oil.

While I don't blame them for exploiting the market, I do shake my head at the morons who they took to town on a regular basis. You'd think the average joe would figure this out without a chart, blackboard and slide rule.

I hadn't heard of them at all. One guy told me that he bought this shaft he wanted to trade me at bombsquad golf. I thought it was a company.. I looked it up and it seemed like a site for club making or something.

I thought it was some hack-assed site with nothing to offer.. Seems I was right.

It could be argued that at one time, BSG was THE epitome of Tour and High End golf equipment on the internet, without a doubt.

Things changed when they got bigger in the head, shoddy work and sales practices and a mass exodus occurred as a result.

My guess is that this recent site failure is something else, however.
