Graphite wood shaft tip trimming question

When you tip trim a graphite shaft like the Penley Stealth 70, which has a high bend point and a fairly stiff tip, does the bend point move down?

What will be the effect of tip trimming 1" for a 3 wood and 2" for a 5 wood?

What length should I make the 3 wood and the 5 wood? My wrist to floor is 36" but I play a 45" driver.

Actually, and I could be wrong, but I don't think the bend point moves at all. By tip trimming you essentially cut off part of the shaft that moves the most making it feel stiffer and maybe lower launch a bit. Again, I am not a tech expert- Lyle or Indacup could probably explain better - but I am pretty sure that's how it affects the shaft when tipped.

As far as length, I would play my 3w at 42.5 (max 43) and my 5w at 41.5 (42 if you're going with 43 in the 3w).

This past summer I cut my driver and 3w down 1/2" and lost NO distance, only gained accuracy. I played my driver at 44.5 with an X flex and my 3w at 42.5 with a tipped (1/2") Comp NT 85 in S flex. I am kicking myself for getting rid of both of those clubs.
