Thread: tour issued or not?

  1. tour issued or not?

What is the best way to tell if a Titliest driver or 3 wood is tour issued or not? Does it have something to do with the serial number or lack there of? Thanks to anyone who can help!

It's my understanding that it's really tough to tell. Titleist has driver with serials, without serials and with serials that are unique that are Tour offerings, retail offerings and custom offerings. So really, it could be Tour, it could be retail and it could be just a custom offering.

A good indication would be the shaft. If it's something prototype or Tour issue, that would be a good giveaway.

So really, unless Ernie gave it to you while drunk off his ass, you're pretty much up shit creek.

Good luck, and welcome aboard Shot Talk!

    Welcome to the board.
Check the hosel, do you see marks from a loft and lie machine? Most players will have the woods bent to neutral or slightly open.
