    Dam you Ebay.

Since moving back to my parents I have internet access and have become addicted to buying and selling golf equiptment on ebay. Oh and posting on Shot Talk, not all bad then.

I do carry two drivers, not for draw or fade, I'm not that good!!! The way i think is if I'm having an off day hitting a 400+cc club then I've got no chance in switching to a small headed 3 wood & hitting an iron off the tee bores the arse of me. I won't keep both R7's I'm just choosing between them before off loading one to my mate. My Cobra SZ 460 is making a come back as my 2nd driver. The money from selling one of the R7s is going on new shafts, i think?

I agree... ebay is an addictive place to hunt for great golf deals.

Here's the deals I've gotten so far in the past couple months (retail or avg. ebay price in parenthesis):

    1. TaylorMade Rescue Dual 25* - $99 ($199)
    2. TaylorMade R540XD w/ Aldila NV 65-S shaft - $125 ($189)
    3. Callaway Hawk Eye 4-PW Irons - $203.50 ($450 ebay)
    4. Callaway Hawk Eye 3 Iron - $15 ($75)
    5. Nippon 990GH Shafts (Callaway pulls) 3-PW - $110 ($189)
    6. (2) UST Pureforce XLT pured .335 wood shafts - $22.50 ($39 each @ Golfworks)

I saved quite a chunk of change on the majority of that stuff... and I'm about to put my set of TaylorMade Supersteel 3-PW irons on there here in a couple weeks once my Hawk Eye's are back from Callaway and are reshafted. I just want to make sure that I'm fully settled on those before selling off the TM's.

Now I'm eyeballing an Ogio Ozone bag, but that will probably have to wait for the time being... we'll see.

  5. How an Ebay deals thread, are we headed that way with this one... Looks like it.
    • Miura CB-201's 5-pw Nippon NSPro 1050's 9.5condition $325
    • Scotty Cameron Studio Design 2.5 bought $110 sold $145
    • Mizuno 50-06 MP wedge $9.99
    • 9 dozen Prov1's AAA condition $60
I've had more but sold all of it already. I'm sticking with what I have for now. If I get anything new it will be a driver, I'm waiting for people to put a few skymarks in the R7460 so I can get it cheap.

How were the ProV's you bought? I've thought about buying some. Good condition?

I was prettty impressed. They have player marks (sharpie) or logos. Some of them, maybe 1/3 had a very minor scuff, like you would get from hitting a tree. This doesn't bother me as I assume those were probably woods vs. water balls. I figure they are in the same condition as a new one would be even before I played a half round with it. At about 55 cents vs. almost $5 each you can't beat it. I also got 6dozen HVC's which were mint, no marks whatsoever, for under $30. I am thinking of trying some NXT tours or Z-UR's next. Nothing better than launching a ProV1 80yds. OB and saying "Oh well", knowing you have an entire milk crate full at home in the closet.

  8. I forgot I had taken a photo after I got them. The red lined ones are the marks I put on my balls. 10 dozen strong, all ProV1's and 1X's .

LOL. I just lost that stupid smiley face one last round.

  9. You use a line huh?

I never got into lining my putts up that way. I like to read the logo on the ball when it's on the tee, or when I'm putting it, so I can't use the built-in line that are on the ProV1

I used to use the logo to line up my puts, but have just recently started using a drawn line and it has improved my putting tremendously.

Actually this may sound stupid but I use the line on my tee shots not for putts. I never line the putts up, I can see the real line when I'm putting well. The red line also helps to distinguish my ball. No more "what are you playing?" Titleist something? Now I just say "red line? No, not mine." Also keeps the ballhawks off your balls.

PS- I still have smiley, I thought he was lost but he was hiding in the bottom of my bag.

Oh great, now I have to bid against you too. Actually you've probably noticed the shipping is usually high on balls, these were cheap. I think the guy lost money on shipping.
