Thread: Help with shaft

  1. Help with shaft

Went to dicks sporting goods today and got info on what to look for in a driver today. My swing speed is 110-114 and my ball speed is 160. The specialist said I needed a X-shaft and a 10.5 loft. Recommended a low - to - mid kick shaft. Can anyone point me in a good direction for a shaft. I currently hit a NV 75 with a r7 clone head on it. I think I wore it out last season, lost its pop. Currently in the market for a new one but I'm a newbie to the sport. Thanks

    X flex and 10.5 would be a wicked combo....if you averaged 114.

If you're happy with the feel of the NV, why not get a 10.5* head put on it? Hell, try to find an R7! If you were happy with the feel and weight of your current setup, why not keep it going?

If it helps, the NV is low/mid launch with a soft tip. Even the X flex is softer than most of those out there.

    Cheers,
