Strange Rattling Sound

Ok guys. I got my new irons about a month ago, and they're great. As you can probably guess, there's a strange rattling sound coming from my 4 iron. When I hit it on the ground (lightly... not as much as you would from taking a divot off a shot), you can hear a rattling sound coming from inside the shaft. I've probably only hit about 10 shots with the club, so it's weird. I'd have possibly expected it from an old club, but this is almost brand new. It seems to affect the shots quite a bit as well, because I keep duffing them and they go about 50 yards max. I've never seen it before, so i'm wondering whether it's worth doing anything about it or just leaving it out my bag. What else can be done, apart from reshafting?

Just a guess here but pull the grip off and see whats rattling? I am no club builder but assume the shaft is epoxyed to the club head. A little sloppy with the glue might let a little stringer that knocked off inside the shaft?
As to causing a duffed shot- hate to blame the duffer but if your nervous about the sound and not swinging relaxed???
I got a rattle in my nine iron so your not alone. didnt think to check what it was last time I regriped so put the new grip over whatever it was (duh!).

Doug has it here. It's probably loose epoxy. You can have the club re-gripped and remove it.

As for the duffing, you probably have some loose epoxy in your noggin. Have the epoxy removed from your shaft and the epoxy in your head will disappear just as quickly and easily....
