I tend to agree with Jayhawk's thinking on this, but it is all dependent on what the particular individual is looking to do. So I think it's like this: if you are serious about wanting to learn to golf, it is better to get lessons and address what is causing the slice over buying a piece of equipment which enables a person to retain a swing flaw. But it is perfectly legitimate for one to just want to enjoy the game as it is, and an offset driver can make the game more enjoyable for those with a tendency to slice.
