I am new to this forum and haven't been able to contribute much yet I am afraid, but I wanted to post a principle I have always lived by that my father taught me and "Equipment Talk" seemed like the best place...

"Always be better than your clubs"

Maybe we have always said that because we have always been pretty poor but what is your guys' take? I see these hackers out there with a setup that cost more than their car and they hack away like it is their first day. To me the clubs are doing nothing, they need to learn the basics and then reward their improved play with improved clubs. Of course, this philosophy would probably put Callaway and Ping out of business!
