OOOP's New Driver Coming

Just threw out a bump bid and won this driver. R7425 with a Speeder 757 tour spec.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Oh well, it's the definitely the shaft I wanted.

Man, I'd love to try that. Have never hit an R7 outdoors.

I'm a little leery so I'm making sure to pay by credit card. It said the photo is stock and the guy has a private ID. If it's anything shady he'll be getting the fastest chargeback he ever saw. I just really hope the thing is all good. That's the setup I've been thinking about for months. I absolutely loved that shaft every time I've hit it. The head is basically the same as the R7 I had, just a tad larger.

That shaft is fat. I've hit it once, loved it, but couldn't bend over for the $300 bucks they want for one around here.

As I mentioned, when you have to pay for your internet and the truck, hit me up. I would love to get that bad boy into my hosel.

Truck is a lost cause and my GF is getting the internet/cable package next week. I have a lot of work coming though. 7 days a week for the next 2 weeks and then 2 long distance trips in October. Knowing I'll be coming home to a Speeder will make me feel so much better. The good thing is if I hate it I can pull it apart and probably get $300 for head and shaft seperate. I doubt it though, hopefully I'll be striping them 280 again with that boring trajectory I miss so much.

. I can use this one now I guess.

How does that speeder compare to the V2, does anybody know? Also is that the same shaft that comes stock in Titleist drivers? I can't imagine it is, but I don't know.

On another note, isn't that clubhead closed a degree or so?

Ba$tard. I could have gotten it for $180 but I was bidding against you!!!

I've thought of this before but I think it's time for an Ebay ID thread. Just to prevent any inadvertant toe stepping. I'm Jnic76 btw.

It's all good, I am just trying to get a 425 or Quad for the life of me to make a new(special purpose) driver.

The Titleist is a "made for" shaft, not the same as the real Fuji. I would reckon it's like the TM Rombax and the real one. The V2 felt a lot "boardier" to me. I just couldn't bend it in an S flex. The Speeder always felt great to me. Bends in the top section just below the grip and I can really feel where the head is at. I felt very confident taking a solid rip with it and hit the face consistantly on center. I think the R7 425 has a minimal offset but not nearly as much as the original quad if I recall correctly. I compared them side by side a few months back.

I can't wait to hit this thing. The great part is no more lead tape BS, just change the weights. If I start pulling it bad, just drop a 6-8 gram differential in the toe and that baby will be tough to shut down too hard. That's the plan anyway. Also I'm hoping the heavier shaft will help out the control factor on my drives. One things for sure, this thing is going to see a whole lot of range balls.

AArrggg. The postman is driving around with my R7 in the truck right now. I tried to pick it up at the Post Office but have to wait till tomorrow. Oh well. I know I have a very short day at work and should be out by 11am. I plan to hit the range for a few buckets. Might have to hit a hardware store for a torque wrench too. Also Golfer's Whorehouse carries the OEM weights for $10.99 if I really want to screw around with it. Can't wait, like a kid at Christmas I am.

That is hellava deal you got yerself there, budd !

That would be my next driver venture if I were to change; I too adore the 757 - it is a beast !

Happy golfing.....
