What's your shaft of choice?

Here I go again but I like finding out what everyone is using. Please comment about your choice. I was going to make this a poll but already did that and can't cover all the shafts out there. I'm using the Accuflex Evolution Lite stiff flex and the more I play it the better I like it. Thanks.

I really like the RE*AX but I'm curious about this Blue I'm getting.

Grafalloy Blue. Easily my #1.

I also like the YS-6 (the original, not the plus as I haven't hit it yet), the UST V2 65, Grafalloy Comp NT, Graf ProLite 35/3.5, Fuji Speeder 757, Fuji Speeder 652, Diamana Blue Board, the stock Fujikura from Cleveland HiBore and the Graf ProLaunch, but it doesn't fit my swing.

Most hated? Aldila NV, NVS, ReAX, Cleveland gold Fuji, anything OEM from Callaway.

I currently have a Accuflex Evo on order, and would love to try the Graf Axis, the new Aldila ProtoPype (stiffest and lowest launching Aldila ever) and the Graf ProLaunch Red.

Jeff's new driver has a Graf Blue "Tour". You know about that?

A guy at work talked with a "higher up" for some shaft company (Grafalloy?) and said the ProLaunch Red is VERY similar to the older ProLite only with newer materials.

Ya, see my comments in the thread. It's gonna be a nightmare unless he really goes after it.

I hit a regular X stiff once and thru impact, I wasn't sure if I hit the ball or not. Just zero feel. I guess you gotta dial that bastard up to get it to play.

PS...there's also a "Made for Tiger Woods" Tour version, but extremely limited. Apparently, it plays to about a XX, plus tipping. Yeesh!

I hated the diamana and the fuji 757 by the way, of course at the time I was used to the rebar graf blue and everything felt like mush compared to that.

I am loving the YS-6+ now (the blue graphics help too - since it looks like my Graf Blue) and I think it plays prob similar in flex, to an untipped diamana, so if I gave it another go, I might like the diamana blue board. I'd prob want it in X tho. Same goes for the Fuji. I'd have to hit them again for sure.

i play the YS-6* in X and love it, the only other shaft i tried and liked was the Grafalloy Prolaunch....just a cannonizer...would prolly need one in X and tipped though to keep it consistant.

Now that makes sense. I loved the ProLaunch in my G5 (except wished it would have been stiff instead of reg) and in the Titleist 905R shaft info for the ProLaunch it says "it plays similar to the YS-6+" so I should really quit dinking around here and stick with what I've found should work best, LOL.

Aldila VS Proto in my 905T. Not perfect yet, but we are improving.

I haven't hit the 652, but What I read about it it seems like it would be a good fit. Those shafts I listed were the ones I felt like I could go after and hit with authority, even if it meant changing my swing to do so.

The others, like the NV and NVS, I have no hope. Stiff, extra stiff, no matter. All over the place and no idea where it's going.

Go out and hit the Speeder again. You'll find it has similar characteristics of the Blue, only tighter dispersion and better control/feel off the clubhead. It's like you can feel the dimples or something.

I don't know where you'd buy a Fujikura shaft. Golfsmith and those don't sell them and Golf Galaxy (a dealer) doesn't list them. ????? Weird.

Golfworks. Either that or buy a club with one in it. I know if I don't like the 757 it's coming right out and going $149.99 BIN on Ebay. Same with the head.

Golfsmith sells Fujikura. They will also order in exotics if requested.
