Putters are super personal. Go try everything from the $15 piece of crap to the $400 overpriced mallet and buy the one that you can't live without.
As for fairway woods, there are lots of great ones out there. Cleveland Launcher steels are sweet and forgiving. I play Callaway Hawkeye VFT Pro Series, you won't find a longer fairway wood for the money. Tour Edge makes the longest FW's, but they're not the cheapest. The R7 fairways get rave reviews. Mizuno makes good FW's as well. Wishon, Cobra, Titleist, Sontartec, Nickent, ect.
As you can see, there are LOTS of choices. You're best bet is to get out there and hit a bunch. Or, do some research, find one you just love the look of and take a chance. Really, there are no "bad" clubs, they just don't work for some people's swings.
