Golf swing analysis software?

Hey guys-

Just looking for some advice. Has anyone used one of the golf swing analysis software packages out there? I was looking at

http://www.cswing.com/

and was trying to figure out if it is worth it or not. I've had my swing analyzed by pros in the past and the results were not terribly fruitful.

I'm a bad enough athlete that I don't have much of a problem spotting my own swing flaws when I look at my video, so maybe I just need an eraseable marking to draw on my computer screen. ;-)

I have an older version of CSwing, which does everything I need it to do. Seemed pretty simple to pick up, but you do have to have somewhat of an understanding what you are looking for on the video. They have Pro swing samples you can download to compare to, as well as a pretty decent help file which I believe you need to downloas seperately (Maybe not on the new version?). It became immediately apparent what I needed to work on.

Not sure about the others, but you can use the mouse roller to go forward and back, set bookmarks at the beginning and end, and use the mouse buttons to stop and start. One tip I would give is to use mouse button until you get a frame or two into your swing, then simply use the roller to stop the swing and go back. It has a quicker response.

They have a free trial, so you should be able to get an idea if it will help you or not.

I just tried downloading V1 home, free trial. There is nothing there?? I was expecting to be able to upload my swing and have tools to look at plane ect. and compare to my other swings and pro swings. Apperently all you get with the free is to be able to view a lesson that is posted by an instructor for you. Total crap.

CS swing's free trial is crap too. Can't upload one of my 20+ videos to it. Both of these companies need a lot of work in simplifying their software. I suppose if they just want to sell to pro's than that's ok. If they want to multiply sales by 100, make it so a target market golfer as myself can actually use the thing. (within 10 minutes would help too).

Ez from my experience I think you may be doing something wrong.

In the past I was able to d/l pretty much full trial versions of both V1 home and CSwing. Both of them had the ability to draw and count frames etc. etc.

With the full version of V1 Home you can do side by side analysis and d/l the pro swings from their site is free. Cswing just costs too damn much.

As I have said before, d/l V1 Home and give them your email. In a month or two they'll send you an email offering V1 Home for about $20. That way you get the full side by side etc. It's pretty simple to use and they have a fairly good selection of pro videos to D/L for free.

So I'll have to wait and pay the $20 before I can do anything? I got a link in the email and when I click on it it goes to a page where you can't click on anything. No help, no instructions, nothing but this empty box and colored ones above it. CS swing had a screen with all these "tools" but when I tried to open my swing videos it wouldn't accept them.

I had no problem opening my swings in the trial of CSwing, as it was the full version, but that was quite a while back.

i downloaded V1 today for the first time. Worked like a charm. Looking side-by-side would be really helpful, so I'm not sure if I will wait the 2 months or upgrade now.

Thanks for the advice...
