New Limey installed in my launcher 460

I just got the UL440 yesterday and installed it last night. I didn't tip trim it at all, just put it in and butt trimmed to 45.75. I fugured I can shorten it later if I want. It is about 20 degrees today in Nova Scotia, but I had to try this shaft. I have a couple of acres of land behind my house, so I went out with a few tees and a hammer to get them in the ground and hit a few balls. The first 3 were big high fades and the shaft felt really soft. I took a few practice swings and tried to slow down my tempo and put a smooth swing on it. I proceeded to hit 5-6 beautiful drives that climbed over the trees and were gone. The shaft felt great!! I would warn anyone thinking about this shaft that it seems to me, to play softer than stated and seems to have a very low kickpoint. Great for me being a lowball hitter. I was stiff and freezing when I hit it, so I am not going to change anything until I can hit it under normal conditions, but so far I am very impressed with the shaft. I might end up tipping it a bit, I'm not sure yet. My SS with a driver is about 96MPH with a smooth tempo. A hard fast swinger would have trouble with this regular shaft IMO. The color is blinding!! LOL.

It's mid kick. All Limey's are.

I agree with you on how soft it plays. I like stout shafts, and I asked for a S+, which cpm'd at 259. Still too soft for my liking. I think if I was to ask for another, I'd go XX.

They look great and play wonderfully once you get your swing down, no? Outstanding shafts.

whewww!!..when you said 20º in Nova Scotia I thought "what part of Nova Scotia do you live in!"..then you mentioned the hammer and I clued in .

I might get a Limey for the new driver I will buy in the spring.

I find using a hammer to get the tees in the ground breaks them easy. I now use small tees and barley stick them in the ground using bruit strength

I broke a few tees, but it was great to hit a few balls. Hopefully it warms up soon and maybe the courses down by Yarmouth will open up. What part of N.S. are you from TCG ? I am in Bedford.

LOL, I play hockey left, golf left, hit a baseball left, but I am right handed. There are more left handed golfers per capita in Canada then anywhere else in the world. It must be playing hockey that does it.

I want your set of tools....................... I get my 3 wood back with the new Limey in it by the end of this week. The temp is about 0 right now, so it will be awhile before I can try it out.

Yes, I have lots of tools, alot of junk on the bench as well. If I really like this shaft once I hit it a bit, I may think about one for my 3 wood also. Are these too light for a FW though ? My Pro Launch blue feels alot heavier.

Graman has heavier shafts...check their website. I think the fairway shafts are the UL 780's.
