Rusting Question - Shot Talk

I was playing on Sunday and my wedges were fine. I assume the greenkeepers must have put some chemicals down or something, because (NO, I didn't touch them since sunday) all of the rust has come off, leaving a satin/raw finish. They're Raw Haze wedges, and the haze finish looked really cool, and it's kinda patchy at the moment so i'd kinda like to get the rust or finish back... If you've got an easy way of rusting my wedges or getting the original finish back, i'd like to hear it...

Also, assuming since it's raw, the standard soak a towel, liberally add salt over it and wrap the wedges in it over night will work... If not, any ideas are appreciated...

Clean them off with some soap and water, then let them sit. They'll rust out just fine over time, don't worry.

Don't use salt!! You'll pit them badly...

What does pit mean?

A pit is a small hole created by "too much" rusting "too fast" and the rust leaves numerous "pits". Not pretty.

What about that Coca-Cola thing? I've heard people say that does something?

Coke doesn't rust it, just erodes it (pits again) from "acidic" reaction. Has to be in it a long time to do that though as obviously the acid is not strong. Would actually clean off any rust.

Small pitting is fine, you want it to help you spin the ball, think of it like sandpaper traction. EZ is on with the coke thing.
