Wedge Ho Day

I am off to Golfsmith tonight to try out some new 54* wedges. Anyone have any recomendations on what is surprisingly good? I will try anything no matter how cheap or expensive they are, even might give the dunlop locos a try.

Here is what I am going to try as of now:

Callaway X Tour Vintage
Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can
Nike SV tour

The wedge has to meet the classic wedge appearance so wedges like Ping, Nickent, and Taylormade are out of the question.

Any chance you could try the new Sonartec wedges? I'd love to hear some opinions of them. They just look so clean.

Those two notches on the back will drive me crazy, I am very meticullous about the appearance of clubs, almost Monkish.

Just bought a 54 degree, 10 degree loft Titleist Tour Chrome Vokey a few weeks ago. I am by no means a good wedge player but I have been hitting it pretty well with this club.

Ill give them a shot, the only problem with the golfsmith near my house is they dont have the biggest stock, the one about 20 min from here has the an enourmous amount of equipment in stock.

I usually dislike mizuno wedges but I will give them a try, I have only heard good things about them.

As long as the finish is dull I will give them a try, nothing worse than a nasty glare off of your wedges.

Demon,

If they have'em: Srixon WG 504 and Tour Edge JMAX Black Nickel.

and the Cleveland 588 Gun Metal.

I have been thinking about all 3 if I can find a deal.

I play 588's but the feel isnt great, I will probably try them out anyways. I am only looking for feel of the head, I really do not care too much about spin and distance at the moment. I also want it to lay open pretty flat so I can hit some open faced shots that will hit me in the forehead. Well maybe not that much with a 54*.

MP-R will do it. You'll most likely lose distance though. I did, no more shutting them down.
