I am going to be in Hoffman Estates all of next week. What are some nice courses over there to play?

Just down the road a bit will be the Chicago Golf Club, in Wheaton and on some top 100 lists, but that doesn't help you, since it's private.

One of my favorites is the links course at Prairie Landing, in West Chicago. ( Prairie Landing Golf Club ) If you are going to have money burning a hole in your pocket, Cantigny, also in Wheaton, is beautiful I'm told. ( Home ) About the same distance in the other direction is Pine Meadow ( Pine Meadow ). I haven't played the last two, but have only heard great things.
