Best place to get a golfing vacation?

I am in the mood to schedule a golfing vacation for me and my dad. What would be a good choice for scheduling this on the internet?

Don't know how far you want to travel or what kind of budget you are looking at. Having said this I would highly recommend Pawley's Island on the south end of Myrtle Beach. Stay at Pawley's Plantation and play Heritage, Pawley's Plantation, Caledonia, True Blue and TPC. There are other really great options in Myrtle Beach including Legends Resort that has 3 good courses right on the grounds and others like King's North close by. Also consider Barefoot that has 4 course right there, all top rated.
Another place you should consider is Charleston, especially Kiawah Island that has 6 or 7 courses including the Ocean Course, one of the best in the country.
If you want to go way upscale and go to Nirvana, go straight to Pinehurst. Fantastic in every way with 8 courses including #2, the U.S. Open venue.
Screw the money...play Pinehurst before you die!

Some damn fine courses on Pawleys. Caledonia is awesome. True Blue is awesome. Haven't played the others.

I played the Turtle course at Kiawah, and it was great. Can only imagine what the Ocean course is like.

Blu, you certainly have my vote as a golf guide.

I'm thinking he wants website locations to set up a trip, not necessarily trip locations. That's why I asked where he wants to go.

If Pinehurst, then he should try tobaccoroadtravel.com
If Myrtle, he should PM EDSGolf here because that's what he does.

Only 2 I can suggest, really.

Good call MC. EDSgolf has been a good resource for Myrtle.

www.golfdesk.com is another terrific resource for Myrtle Beach or you can call Brian Noblin there at (800) 642-3108. Brian also set up a great web site for Myrtle Beach forums on courses, accomodations, trip reports and restaurants. Just plug in Myrtle Beach Golf Talk on your search engine.

This is a little unconventional but I used to do this every year and loved it. Southern Utah, namely St. George, has some spactacular golf, great weather, and reasonable accomodations. It is also only a hop and skip from Mesquite, NV. Here is the link. If for some reason you are interested I can tell you about anything about nearly every course in the area.
