Help Me Find A Course Please!

I recently started working for an airline, so I can now fly to golfing destinations for free. I promised my daughter, who lettered in golf as an 8th grader, that I would take her to some warm weather courses this winter. That way she can get some real playing time instead of just swinging at balls in the dome.
I need some suggestions for golf courses conveniently located to airports. We have to be able to do this as a day trip if possible.

I'm in Minnesota. It really doesn't matter east or west, as long as we can do it in a day. If necessary, we will stay overnight and fly home the next day.

Pinehurst comes to mind and is a place I have been twice in the last couple months. The airport is within a few miles, but is a small hub.

From the trips I have flown into in the last few years with bigger hubs and warm weather. I would say Las Vegas, Orlando, Houston and San Antonio.

Others to consider maybe. Hilton Head or obviously Myrtle Beach. Although I haven't flown into Myrtle, my wife went into Hilton Head with a layover in Charlotte. Phoenix/Scottsdale may be another logical choice with course close by.

Not sure what you are willing to spend for golf.

To be honest, if Pinehurst, as small as it is would not require an inconvenience on layovers, and you do not mind playing in 50-60* weather, you could land, play a round at a great course, and likely be back on the plane in 6 hours. It is a tiny hub. We had to rent a couple cars from there. BTW, I am not referring to playing at Pinehurst Resort, there are a ton of very affordable courses close by.

There is a great golf course you could literally walk to from the airport here in Jackson, Ms. Okay, maybe walking is a stretch, but a 5 dollar taxi ride would get you there easy.
Whatever the minimum taxi ride is.

BTW, I hate you. Free flights to go play golf, of all the nerve,

Papago is a municipal course in Phoenix near Sky harbor airport. It had run down but has recently been redone (see Golf.com).

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. The Refuge and Papago look very do-able.

New Mexico is touch and go. We had a beautiful week last week with mid-60s. Yesterday I went out to play and I was the only one on the course.

If you drop by, PM me, I'm on here every day, I'll treat you guys to a round if I can.
If you end up here and its nice, try UNM Championship, Los Altos, Arroyo Del Oso, Isleta, Sandia, Santa Ana, really any of those are within 30 minutes of the airport and all are nice.

UNM being the closest and my personal favorite.

Like Jeff, I check the forum most every day. If you decide to play the Refuge, drop me a PM and I'll try and meet ya'll. I'm always up to meeting new people, and the Refuge is kind of tricky if you've never played it. Lots of hidden hazards you can't see from the tee box. It's good to have someone there that knows the course,
