The first question I have for you my friend is.....

How do you know Philly Eagle?

then the answer is......Golf for Women Magazine (an offshoot of GD) is shutting down. I expect the website and forum to follow suit shortly.

Okay, I'll give this a shot now. I'd seen some earlier posts on the now-closed thread and wasn't encouraged.

Fun shot of the week--playing with a client at an event last week, I made a rather ostentatious club change before hitting my approach shot. Then I realized I really had to make that sucker. My poor client toed her pitch into the rough. I landed three feet from the hole--big sigh of relief.

That almost never happens.

You are the first of several new registrations to "stick your toe in". I hope some of the others will emerge and aid in more positive 'encouragement'.

Welcome aboard Claire!

Welcome aboard.

Sounds like a great shot. With the added pressure of your partner being in the rough did you make the 3 footer?

Thanks for the welcome, gentlemen, and let's just say I only discuss my good shots. Well, unless there's something so amazingly bad it's funny.

Claire,

For me, all your shots playing this silly game are good. You learn something from every swing.

Sounds like you have some game. Where are you playing out of?

Welcome aboard, BTW.

Hi Claire. I'm as guilty of anyone of not respecting the more "delicate" nature of women as it pertains to anonymous internet posting. I promise I will keep my comments respectful - when in the "Women's Forum". I make no such promises outside of there. Although, if you take some time to get past my rude, crude, and generally annoying front, you and any other women who join will find that I (along with most of the other brutish men here) will welcome you and relish talking golf with you. We play a mean game of "boy's club," but most of us are smart enough to know that having a woman's perspective on a forum like this is a good thing.

Welcome.

That's ironic. I only discuss my bad shots unless I have something amazing like a good shot. Either way I still find a way to have fun out on the course.

Welcome Aboard

I'm with Eracer here, which you'll learn I ride on his coattails a lot.

Anyway, its a pleasure to meet you Claire. Generally my humour isn't sexist, but just poor in general. Not funny poor...just poor.

I will, without a doubt, keep the most respectful and decent Jeff reserved for this section.
