having a small problem

Alright guys real quick, I need a quick fix before monday. I seem to be pulling the ball for some odd reason or another. I've kinked by swing out to a normal draw then if I really have to fade it well I can. Apparently I seem to be pull drawing the ball a bit though. What seems odd is that I feel it has to be an OTT move because I'm hitting the ball flush every time...

Any ideas?

You're a good enough player to know what causes a pull in a decent swing. IMO it's too quick on the takeaway, getting inside then having to get a little OTT on the downswing. I'd suggest slowing the takeaway down and keep the clubhead outside of the hands. You also might want to consider hitting 3W where you don't really need the driver on a few holes. No point in trying to bomb it out there just to gain a 9i in instead of an 8iron if the driver is not exactly on fire.

Also, good job in having the recognition of striking and OTT. I learned that a while ago. I can hit every club in the bag but a driver when I'm getting OTT. Short irons might actually be better when I'm OTT and timing is good. It's like russian roulette though, sooner or later I'm going to pull a shot so bad it's going to result in a triple.

Thanks for the praise,

believe me Ez usually for something silly I wouldn't be asking the masses but this thing is driving me up the walls. I've tried to slow down my back swing to the point where I can just blaze through impact. The sad thing is that I'm hitting my driver on the screws and its one damn beautiful draw but I just can't get that perfect draw where the ball squirts way out right then comes back. I've got the weekend to fix it and the summer tour starts -_-!

Thanks again Ez

Arms turning over?

Hands getting ahead of body rhythm?

I've been making more of an effort to brace my left side and have it firm through the swing. That really could be it, honestly I'm scared to go the range because all we have down here are mats (yes even doral) and you can't get real feed back!

no no no no no.... this can't be happening.... AGAIN!

It seems like every little time I try to fix just a minor problem it blows up in my face to an all out swing disaster! I went to the range today thinking ok here come the pull draws.... HA! All out shanks and OTT pulls it was horrible. Weak little slices and I know I'm picking up the club too quick. Great I have the first tourny of the summer tomorrow and I'm not expecting less than 95 the way today went -_-

alrighty after hours at the range ( I dont know how you all do it... maybe its the 100% humidity and 90* heat ) I figured it out a bit. Too much lateral movement with a swing lead by the hands is a bad bad idea that leads to numerous shanks. This has prompted me to lose weight because obviously I can tell I'm getting lazy turning this fat body around through the swing. I just hope I don't go all David Duval now.
