| Tale of the day... Yep, my first thread in the Hackers side. And I deserve it.  Headed out yesterday feeling good. Hit the ball incredibly solid on the range beforehand and felt fresh. Then, things went downhill. After driving the ball very well, I found myself pulling almost every single iron. Now, that's not such a bad thing, but I just wasn't getting the hops. Well, I was, but into the water, into the sand, etc. We'd had alot of rain over the last few days, so the bunkers were hard as hell. Baked and half clay. Just brutal. I bladed 3 wedges over the green and into oblivion on 3 - 3- par 3's. I had 4 7's on my scorecard. I haven't had a 7 all year! However, here's some silver lining (for my mental health). I eagled 17 with the sweetest drive/5 iron combo to 3 feet. Stuck it like a pig. Just a beauty. Rolled it in for some salvation. I also birdied the two hardest holes on the course. I was putting well, but my sand/chipping game was atrocious. Here's the tale of the tape: no three putts 13/14 fairways 3/18 GIR 28 putts Final score? 96. This year, I hadn't shot more than 82.
