I totally agree with statement. Nothing pisses me off more than a group trying to run up my ass when I am having to waiting just like them. They can clearly see that I have no where to go.

I like to let these guys go so they can bother somebody else. I'm waiting already, so what's a few more minutes?

Its the TWO E's for me--Etiquette and Empathy. Many, many golfers simply don't know etiquette at all. Leaving ball marks, divots lying around, carts 5 ft. off of greens, parking 40 yards away on the opposite side of the next hole, and of course this is after they stare at you from the green for 30 seconds like they're inviting you to hit them.

The other "E", empathy. . .people simply don't give a hoot, crap, care in the world about anyone but themselves. They're oblivious to everything going on around them.

I was nearly in a wreck yesterday because a woman on a cellphone simply pulled her dumb arse right out in the middle of traffic. I had to mash the breaks and turn the car sideways to keep from hitting her. People suck bad these days.

My New Annoyance

I play in golf league of mostly crappy players like myself....

I just can't stand when we are on the tee at a par 5 and I look down about 200 yards to see someone waiting for the group in front of them to clear off the green... ARE YOU SERIOUS.... you hit your drive 200 and your concerned about the people on the green some 300+ yards away... just hit your lay up 3wood and move on please...

I think a lot has to do with the type of course you are playing. I work at a muni that sees 60k rounds of golf a year. We are 4 on the tee from sun up to an hour and a half before sun down (9 holers). We have 8 minute intervals. Play ranges from a 4 hour round to a six hour round. Depends on when the really really slow groups decide to come out. The thing is that our course is the only place to go. Within a 3 mile radius you have three great courses but they all come with membership fees that only the true elite can afford. So you get the casual golfer out there. Is it right that it takes them 6 hours? No, absolutely not. They do however pay their 72 dollars to play just like everyone else does. Are the inconciderate? Yes absolutely. Do I feel like drilling one into them sometimes? Yes. After a split second of clarity I realize it is what it is. My advice is to save the anger you feel, take it into your next competitive tournament. Like someone else posted people generally suck and they seem to be getting into golf in excessive numbers. If you don't like it, join a club.

Related to all of this is that one of the bigger groups I regularly play with is mixed with people who walk and people who ride carts. I play in the foursome that walks. Without fail, the others think that they can play faster than us and want us to wait and go last. Without fail, we wait on them every hole to get the F&*K out of the way.

Are we talking weeday or weekend play?

Weekend is generally going to be pretty slow, with your weekend golfer.

thought of another thing that annoys me here.

If you slice your ball into the woods... please god just take your drop already. I get so annoyed standing on the tee and watching someone spend 10 minutes fishing in the woods for a ball that is so far out of play it's not going to be hittable anyway... take your ball cost lump and move on already.

ball hunting

This really does anyme. I'm a high handicapper and insuch hit alot of rough etc. After a quick look def less than 5 mins prob 2 or 3 new ball is dropped, play carries on. there is no point in spending 15 mins looking for ball and still not finding it no wonder you have 6 hour rounds. Balls arent cheap but they are not excessive either (prov etc exempt) but if you do play these you prob dont hit deep rough etc too often so live with it.

Little bit off the truth. I know bad hackers who use ProVs...

I use whatever, generally something under 20 bucks.

Almost every bad golfer who thinks he's cool actually plays Pro-Vs or Nike Ones, with the idea that would improve their quadruple bogey (discounting putts) in every par-3 (hey! its the best ball so it might be the solution to why I slice every driver since my swing is perfect!). The same people who you see who play with callaway x-prototypes with a Burner TP Special Edition and other $6,000 bucks in equipment (I'm not saying everybody who plays those is like that, I'm just saying that's what I have usually seen).

I used to pick a lot of balls in the bah and sea side next to the NSW Country Club golf course where I used to swim in the mornings, and the funny hing is most balls I usually fund weren't precisely cheap "amateur" balls, but rather NXTs, Ones, B330s, and sometimes Pro-Vs

I love even more those who read them like Villegas (yes, I've seen it twice already) and end up missing about the same distance you mentioned.

I haven't seen that, but would be funny. If I got down that low I would need a wrecker to get me up!

I wish that were the case but I see MAX hdcpers playing ProV's because the TV says they are great... and those are always the guys spending 15min in the woods trying to find a ball because it was 4 or 5 bucks..

My thought is if you can't just say F it and drop another ball (either because of ball cost or loss frequency), play something cheaper.
