Today......front was fantastic! I parred the first 3 holes and finished up with a 43. My lowest 9 ever.

I did ok and birdied the par 5 11th.

Then the train leapt off the tracks. I don't know why, I suppose the giddy glee was getting to me. I had one disaster after another, hole 17 was typical...
I got a great drive that hopped left and into the jungle and of course the lie was unplayable so I took a stroke there.....18....topped the shit out of my drive, it went right into to woods and popped out into a lateral hazard.

This hazard was sort of a deep crater with tall weeds growing in it and my ball was lying on the side of the slope. It was literally even with my shoulders at address....I went for it to save a stroke and actually made a great 50 yard shot with a 6 iron swung like a bat.....bad,bad experiences the rest of the whole and I took a 10.

Finished the back with a ..........59

One other memorable shot.....hole 13, an elevated 293 yard par 4.

After I shanked the drive into the third dimension I was hitting 3 off the tee and my second shot was right on the 150 marker. This is an 8 iron for me.

The 8 iron is my most cherished and consistent club. I hit that puppy 150 - 155 all the time, except today.

I put the club on that ball without any particular vigor and the ****er flew about 170.....way,way past the green and down the hill in back.....I have no luck at all.

Wed morning I stood on the 16th tee 1 under.

I finished double, bogey, double for with a 76.

Yesterday I was 2 under thru 8, and shot 79.

Good news is I'm making lots of birdies, bad news is I'm making more doubles than usual....

Sling, i coulda used your front nine.... My tourney today did about the same, just a bit lower. 45 on the front and 35 on the back... I just cant play an entire 18 holes and it bothers the hell outta me...

I played with a guy on Sunday who was hitting it very well. I believe he was 1 under and just came off back to back birdies on 6 and 7. 8th hole, 115 yds., Sawgrass 17 replica. First shot a decelerated fatty in the drink. Then from the drop area, a repeat. He carded an 8 on that hole.
