King Par is an unknown quantity at this point
Anyone just all of a sudden..click?

I started playing 9 holes today, brutally. The winds were not very nice either (I know what WBL means now). Anyway, I was playing really crappy. On the 6th hole...something just, clicked. I decided to try to muscle an 8iron up a 145 yard up hill. I caught it perfectly, and it landed about 12 feet from the cup. I was impressed, but I thought it was a fluke. Next hole was a 93 yard down hill, half a pitching wedge, and I was within 10 feet. Well, it was a short hole, so I still wasn't impressed. The next hole was a 155 yard carry over water. I used an 8 iron again and was 10 feet past the green. Everything just clicked. The next hole I shot a 9iron, 145 yard to be within 15 feet of the cup. After the last holes today I feel so much more confident and can't wait to get on the course again tomorrow!

I can't hit the long irons worth crap, so...next Ho Project is a 3 and 4 hybrid.

That is how tour players get on a roll, they try to reproduce the last great shot they had. I remember when Johnny Miller talking about it one time. I would bet everyone does it, I know I do.

It comes quickly -
A few weeks back I was +7 stepping on to the 8th tee box. A 9 iron came up just short of the green and then the chipped up to within inches of the cup. I tapped in for par and then played the next 10 holes at +2 to finish at 9 over for the day (personal best).

And goes even quicker -
My very first round after the above mentioned pb was a 101...

Something just clicked in my swing. On the downswing I used to keep the face square. Now I start squaring it up on the downswing as I am about to hit the ball. It feels good to hit an 8iron where you'd usually hit a 7.

It's happened to me more than once. I'll suddenly "feel" proper lag and hit the best iron shots of my life. For a short while. Or I'll "feel" a proper transition, and start hitting shots with almost no effort. For a short while. Or my grip will suddenly become so light, and so right, that I can "feel" the ball compress against the center of the clubface. For a short while.

Then it goes away, and I struggle to get that feeling once again.
